| Brickyard Race News: 8.03.10 And so begins the preparation work for Brickyard 2011! The 43rd Annual Brickyard Race will take place on April 10, 2011. We'll be incorperating chip timing (really!), dri-fit race t-shirts, as well as many other new features! Please check back in the coming months for the latest information. Parking - Race Schedule - T-Shirts - Course Maps - Aid Stations - Age Groups - Awards Parking Participants that park at Rankin Park lot will not be able to leave until 10:00am. Alternative parking along side streets, Nedjedly Staging Area, and the Martinez Marina. 2010 Race Schedule January 1, 2010 - April 10, 2010: Pre-Registration Mail-In period April 15, 2010 - Online registration closes April 16-17, 2010 Pre-Registration bib/t-shirt pick-up at Fleet Feet Sports Pleasant Hill (Registration in person also availible!) April 18, 2010 6:45am: Race Volunteer check-in 7:15am - 8:15am: Pre-Registration pick-up/Race day registration 8:30am: 4 & 8 mile race start! 9:45am: Awards Ceremony 10:30am: Course Closes! T-Shirts By popular demand all registered participants will receive 100% Polyester (Dri-Fit) t-shirts. These shirts are excellent for running, or any sport. These shirts contain much higher quality fabric than traditional cotton t-shirts. Course Maps
Aid Stations One water station for 4 mile participants, and 3 stations for 8 mile participants. Alhambra High School Sports Medicine students will be at every mile marker and water station with first aid kits and medical supplies. Please remember to properly hydrate for this race! Age Groups Under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Awards Top 3 in each age category receive engraved brick awards. Awards will NOT be mailed. Awards can be picked up from the Alhambra High School Track located at 150 E. St. Martinez CA 94553. |
